About
An ongoing journey.

PHOTOGRAPH · STUDIO M
For more than twenty years I worked in technology and digital transformation. I helped build systems, teams, and companies. I still believe, deeply, in what technology can enable.
But at some point the questions began to change. It was no longer enough to ask what a new tool could do. I found myself returning again and again to a quieter question, what does it do to us?
That question opened onto older ones. What is attention? What is judgement? What does it mean to be responsible for something, and to be the author of one's own life?
These are not new questions. Philosophy has held them for a long time. Neuroscience has begun to describe them. Literature has always known them. What is new is the urgency: for the first time we are building machines that answer, decide, and even generate, on our behalf.
I write and speak about these questions through the lenses of philosophy, neuroscience, leadership, complexity, and emerging technologies. Not as an expert with conclusions, but as someone trying to think honestly, in public, at a human pace.
This site is the notebook that goes with that work.
