Vision 2030

By 2030, I foresee—also in light of shifting geopolitical conditions—a growing strategic need and expansion of European infrastructures, along with intensified funding for technology development in navigation, communications, Earth observation, cybersecurity, and AI. Many of these services, especially satellite-constellation communications, are already under development or in the process of being rolled out. The latest advances in AI, cybersecurity, and digitalization arrive at exactly the right time to propel these systems to levels of effectiveness we have never before seen.

Here we witness an evolution in classic ST technologies: the traditional space-industry incumbents can learn from and benefit through the capabilities and experiences of innovative firms outside the space sector. Collaboration between these two spheres will only grow, leading to a true technology transfer and embedding newfound innovations into our next-generation infrastructures.

These developments will not only boost citizens’ quality of life but also create new economic opportunities and jobs. At the same time, the expansion of digital infrastructures will revolutionize access to education, healthcare, and public services.

Business Advice

Space travel has become a major economic driver worldwide. Companies outside the ST sector should increasingly seek partnerships with established space-industry players to foster technology transfer for the next generation of space technologies and infrastructure. The ESA, EUSPA, EDA, and European Commission offer numerous technology-development programmes to make this future possible. Collaborations with new entrants in AI, cybersecurity, communications, and related fields are key—and explicitly encouraged.

Artificial intelligence is already being integrated into various missions, particularly for the automated analysis of satellite imagery and Earth-observation data more broadly. Moreover, this technology is becoming ever more critical for satellite control, especially given the rapid growth of satellite constellations being launched in staggering numbers.

The world is in fast-forward. And foresight is the new currency. AI, human behaviours, and shifting macro forces demand foresight skills.

Tomorrow’s disruption will be human driven, enabled by accelerating technology.My work is rooted in rewriting the playbooks for human experience by viewing them through the lens of rapidly shifting consumer behaviour and empowerment tech—from personal consumer-side AI agents, Digital IDs, VR/AR, and personalisation engines to real-time analytics.

By 2030, I believe brands and experiences must be designed for a world where consumers are in control, in constant motion, identity-fluid, and empowered by intelligent technologies that amplify their ability to choose, switch, and shape the experiences they want.

Consumers won’t be passive recipients of brand messaging but active curators of their identity-driven experience ecosystems. Tech, and especially AI, will enhance this empowerment. Traditional segments, static personas, and linear journeys no longer serve us. Instead, we should design for multiple customer modes, messy middles, and fluid expectations. The brands that thrive will embrace complexity and agility, build systems for adaptive behaviours, and be willing to unlearn what worked yesterday.

We won’t just manage experiences—we’ll orchestrate adaptive, responsive, moment-aware ecosystems that reflect who the customer is right now, not who we assumed they were.  new currency.

The most successful brands of the next decade will question legacy models, challenge assumptions, leverage new technologies quickly and be brave enough to test, iterate, and redesign their entire models for markets. True innovation comes not from perfecting what worked in the past but from relentlessly designing for the next. That means embracing fluidity, relevance, and building brands we can "borrow" in whatever moment or identity state we’re in.

I use ChatGPT regularly—not as an answer machine, but as a thinking partner. I write concepts, organize thoughts, and further develop new formats with it. However, the best outcomes still happen in real conversations—when you resonate with people.

I approach these questions from my own professional expertise: marketing and sales in a B2B environment. The pace of change in this space over the last two decades has been incredible, but what has happened in just the past two years is truly game-changing. The biggest challenge has always been balancing personalization at scale—and today, AI is helping solve that.

Within our programs, we’ve already reached a point where AI covers 80% of sales messaging on Social, automates CRM updates, and reduces social content creation time by 75%. Looking ahead to 2030, I see AI not just supporting marketing and sales but driving outcomes directly based on business KPIs. Barriers like execution time and operational bottlenecks will disappear, and companies that successfully adopt and integrate AI will have a major competitive advantage. Today, it’s the opposite: you train AI on your company, your values, and your process, then let it analyze the full lead journey and recommend the best next steps—all while updating your CRM in real time. Businesses that embrace this shift and integrate AI thoughtfully will unlock serious growth.
